Ceremony
Our ceremony was held at St. James Episcopal Church in Leesburg, VA. We were married by Reverend John Ohmer, minister at St. James, and Pastor Daphne Burt, former campus minister at the Campus Christian Community at Mary Washington College. Pastor Daphne gave a wonderful sermon that was very personal. Her involvement meant a lot to us and she and Father John seemed to get along very well.
Huyen's dress was made by Ryan's grandmother, Irene Rakowski. Nancy Thompson, Aunt of the groom, sang at the ceremony as did Chris Jones, a member of the St. James choir. Flowers were be provided by Mr. Udo's, the only flower store we dealt with in the area that was honest and professional.
The readers were Kathy VanWinkle, Chris Shaver, and Heather Cronin.
