I was born in Vietnam but left the country before I was three years old. I don't remember very much of it and now I'd like to return to my birth land to rediscover my culture. Here's a picture of me at a camp when my parents and I escaped the country. I think it's in Malaysia. Check out the guy taking a bath in the background.

I don't remember my Grandmother, but my Mom goes back to Vietnam every few years. Here is a picture of them during her last visit. This coming trip I will be able to see my Grandmother again.

Although I feel like I've lost touch with my culture, my Mom stays involved with the Vietnamese community in Roanoke, VA. Here she is in a Vietnamese Market. She misses her tropical vegetables and fruits!

Only once I started dating Huyen did I begin to learn so much about the Vietnamese culture. Since then, I've become enthralled with their music and fallen in love with the food (mmm... Pho...
