  • We made a visit to the <a href='http://www.animalsanctuary.org/'>Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary</a> in Poolesville, MD. Here, we're headed to the pig barn and a piglet, who came running at us like a puppy, joins in.

  • Jules took a little while to warm up to the cows...
  • ... but Lyssie had no troubles
  • <a href='http://www.animalsanctuary.org/animals/cow_norman_ellymay.html'>Norman</a> was the biggest cow there, weighing in at nearly 2500 pounds
  • The mules made their way to us only once they noticed we had carrots
  • The chickens charged us with a passion when the saw us spreading cracker bits
  • This guy got away from me a couple times, but he was a good sport.
