twist of fait accomplis
Over the past few weeks, we've been to a few parties celebrating 30th birthdays of friends. Of course, I'm six months into it already, so these people are all young cats to me. Anyway, happy birthday to Ellen and Alex and Rob.
At Rob's party, Mr. McKim and Mr. Broom discussed amongst themselves that my life needs to be more exciting so that the blog isn't so boring. The problem is, my life is interesting, I'm just pleading the fifth on anything that might be deemed as such. Vive la boredom!
My stupid little 5k on Saturday went well. I managed to get in a few training runs before the event, so I was feeling in pretty good shape. Though my time was about 40 seconds slower than last year, I still managed to place respectibly, including first in my age group (I think there may have only been one other person in my age group).
Lastly, my aforementioned HVAC issue turned out to thankfully be very inexpensive to fix. When I had put the new filter in and snapped it into place with that rounded metal coil, the coil squashed one of the wires causing a short. So, it was just a quick, inexpensive fix by a professional and I was done. Thank God it wasn't the compressor, like Chris had suggested it might be!
Happy Monday. Perhaps I'll get a new Attic Beats online this week.
