twist of fait accomplis
It's kind of scary to realize after the fact that two tornadoes each came within a mile of our house last week. Yikes.
02:57 PMEven scarier when you're in a plane in a holding pattern directly above said weather. Oh, and also having flown across the country, we were low on fuel too.
Ryan, thanks again for the hospitality that night.
had that happen when I was living in Bedford (VA) about a year and a half ago. Twisters ripped through the town with no warning, and houses all around us were ripped up. I actually was in the process of moving from Lynchburg to Bedford (25 miles), so I got caught in a huge hail storm. The damage was unreal. I even saw a pick up truck get picked up and flipped over.
Needless to say, I was amazed when i got to our place, and we only had a tree knocked down. There were no house 3 doors down when it was all over.
