twist of fait accomplis
OK, I've got to come clean about a few things. Please indulge me.
I watch American Idol.
There, I said it. I watch it every Tuesday. I even watch most of the "results" shows on Wednesdays, which are nothing more than 10-second spots drawn out for 30 minutes.I also admit that I was most disappointed to see Ryan Starr go. She had a cool name and could have been the 2k's Joan Jett. Plus, she had a geeky attractiveness about her. In addition: Christiana Christian was robbed. And RJ, EJ, and AJ were all a waste of airtime.
I'll now admit that I really hope Kelly Clarkson wins. That girl can sing and I don't think she'll fall into the "pretentious star" role. But, honestly, everyone in the final five except for psuedo-rebel Nikki McKibbon will have absolutely no trouble getting signed after the show. Shoot, I bet the ink on a deal for Tamyra is already dry.
Let me close by saying something that I hope will help elevate your opinion of me after this embarrassing confessional: I would never pay this much for four tickets to anything.
01:59 PMYou've inspired me. I watch 'Undressed' on MTV.

Posted by: Robert on August 22, 2002 11:48 PMI don't actually watch them, but I do read the Television Without Pity recaps of Real World, Big Brother 3, and the Anna Nicole Smith show. All are pretty worthless, but the entertainment value of the recappers is high.
I have come out of the closet as a wrestling fan though.
Posted by: Chris Shaver on August 23, 2002 12:08 PMI watched "American Idol" once. I can't really get into it. I thought Kelly was good though, so I hope she wins. Plus she's cute.
Me, I watch MTV Cribs. Becaue I love phat cribs.
Posted by: lex on August 23, 2002 2:37 PMWhat's the story with this Anna Nicole Smith show? Someone must explain it to me.
